Using Logic Pro X and Public Domain Footage To Create Music Videos For Sci Fi

I started learning how to use Logic Pro X a few years ago. The first thing I noticed is how advanced music production has become as well as affordable. When I was in my late teens early 20’s we use to rent time in a music studio to put together a demo songs. First it cost a lot to get studio time back in the day.

Fast forward today anyone with a DAW and a little know how can produce some great sounding music. Not just only that, today’s musicians have many more options in learning how to become experts in their chosen instrument.

…With That Said,

I always wanted to write sound tracks to movies ever since I was a little boy. Being a creative person, I searched the public domain for footage and to my surprise I quickly found 2 types of content.

I found content on the old Sci Fi movies from the 50’s and I found content on Aliens and UFO’s. Being excited, I started using my midi keyboard and working on sound tracks on Logic Pro X. Continue reading

Whatever Happened To Winamp?

If you are like me you have wondered what ever happened to Winamp? Almost 2 decades ago there was this little app. I remember really zoning out to it’s built in visualizers.  So Winamp (Windows Advanced Multimedia Products) was released April 21, 1997. AOL didn’t actually have a grasp on what to do with Winamp or they simply didn’t think it was that big of a deal. Shortly after Apple Ipods started to dominate the scene and the rest if you will is history. Continue reading

Being A Musician In 2022

This is my first actual post on this blog that created a couple of years ago. One reason was because, I was trying to get my friends involved in the whole being a musician on the internet. Guys guys I jam with I have been jamming with for the past 20 something or another years. At this point it may even been 30 years ago.

..ECK! I am getting old!

Sadly things didn’t go as I had hoped for many different reasons. But like many things I have delved into I am on my own trying to figure it all out. I have successfully been doing business online since around 2007. But for me, being a musician has always been just a hobby.  I decided at the age of 40 that we would take my hobby and love for music and see if it can apply internet marketing and social networking skills that I have learned over the years to music.

Most likely this isn’t going to get me rich or even make anything at all. I am just going to share my personal experience with music and gear. I’ll just see what happens. Today is the first day of many blog post to come on this blog from me.
